Hospital Tours for Children's Groups.
We invite school groups into our hospitals to introduce students to the hospital in an educational, non-scary way. Children who tour a hospital are less likely to fear a future visit or patient stay.
Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh
Second Grade Tours
Mercy Medical Center offers tours especially for second-graders during a two-week period each October and February. Students take a one-and-a-half hour tour of Rehabilitation, Emergency Room, Pharmacy, Surgery, Food Service and the nursery. Mercy staff, the Oshkosh Fire Department and volunteers help with tours. St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton
Children’s Group Tours (preschool and elementary school)
Our tour guide, Miss Dolores, leads day care groups, school groups, scout troops and other children’s groups on a fun and educational tour of St. Elizabeth Hospital. The one-and-a-half hour tour includes Registration, X-ray, Lab, Emergency Room, pediatric patient room and the nursery. Children’s tours are available year-round, Monday through Friday, for groups of 40 or fewer.
