Athletic Training

Evaluations and Treatment.

We currently provide licensed athletic trainers to Winneconne, Appleton Xavier, Little Chute, Valley Christian, Oshkosh North, Oshkosh West, Oshkosh Lourdes, UW Fond du Lac and UW Oshkosh. Affinity athletic trainers attend these schools’ sporting events and provide health, fitness and rehabilitation advice for athletes, coaches and parents.

Oshkosh Schools Expand Program

Affinity’s new, expanded athletic training program with the Oshkosh Area School District includes district-wide blood pressure screenings, yoga classes, injury checks, home exercise programs and other fitness and wellness classes.

Other Athletic Training Services

In addition to in-school athletic training programs, Affinity’s licensed athletic trainers are available to businesses and organizations in Oshkosh and the Fox Cities. Affinity’s licensed athletic trainers can bring your employees integrated wellness, fitness and rehabilitation services, right at your workplace. Boosting your employees’ overall health can have a positive impact on productivity and health care expenses.

Affinity offers a wide variety of athletic training services, and can custom-design specialty programs for your organization. A few of our current programs include:

Industrial Athlete Rehabilitation

An injured “industrial athlete” is a worker who is injured on the job. Affinity’s licensed athletic trainers can help rehabilitate an injured worker by applying sports medicine techniques, which originally aimed to return a sports athlete to competition quickly. A similar approach can help speed an injured industrial athlete’s return to work.

Health Risk Assessments (HRAs)

Health Risk Assessments, also called HRAs, help improve health through individual assessments. A health risk assessment helps identify behaviors that may put someone at risk for a disease or accident, such as tobacco use, diet or weight. By identifying these behaviors and suggesting healthier alternatives, Affinity athletic trainers help people increase their chances for longer, healthier lives.

Executive Physicals

Even busy executives can’t afford to neglect routine exams and preventive health care. Affinity’s licensed athletic trainers conduct executive physicals, a wellness program designed especially for high-level professionals. The program includes health assessments and a host of diagnostic tests that can identify previously undiscovered medical conditions. During feedback consultations, we clearly explain what the results mean and what actions to take. Early detection, combined with lifestyle changes, can help increase productivity and reduce health care costs.

Employee Fitness Classes

Fit employees are often more productive, healthier, happier workers. Affinity’s licensed athletic trainers will come to your workplace and teach customized fitness classes to your employees.

All of Affinity's athletic trainers are certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and licensed by the state of Wisconsin to practice athletic training (LAT).
