MENASHA Wis. - John M. Weinsheim, CMPE, director of Employer Solutions, Affinity Health System, has earned the professional designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE).
The designation of CMPE demonstrates that Weinsheim has achieved board certification in medical practice management. ACMPE certifies an individual’s professional competence when he or she passes rigorous essay and objective examinations that assess knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management skills sets. These include financial management, human resources management, planning and marketing, information management, risk management, governance and organizational dynamics, business and clinical operations and professional responsibility. The individual must also complete a presentation requirement and earn a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours.
Weinsheim joined Affinity in 2001 and has served in practice management, marketing and business development leadership roles with the company. His career covers more than 19 years leading marketing, communications and business operations in the public and private sectors. Weinsheim holds a B.A. in public administration from San Diego State University and is pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He is a graduate of the e-Seed Business Entrepreneurship program through University of Wisconsin Oshkosh / Fox Valley Technical College. John, his wife Amy and their four children live in Oshkosh, Wis.
