MENASHA, Wis. – Dr. Erik Emaus has been named president of Affinity Medical Group, a team of more than 200 health care professionals who provide medical care through a network of 23 clinics in 15 Northeast Wisconsin communities.
Emaus will be responsible for providing governance and direction for the coordination of all patient care activities within Affinity Medical Group, as well as have oversight for all functions related to the recruitment of Affinity Medical Group physicians.
Emaus, a Winneconne resident, joined Affinity Health System in 1999 as a primary care and sports medicine physician. He also served on the medical management team and as medical director for Affinity’s southern region of primary care and ambulatory medical specialties. In 2006, he served as interim chief medical officer and in 2007, he was appointed vice president of medical affairs for
Emaus earned his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University in East Lansing. He served his internship at Traverse City Community Hospital in Michigan. He is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine, and he is a fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
